Registration Procedure

How To Register

In terms of the Land Surveyors Act [Chapter 27:06] a person can register in different categories, e.g. Land Surveyor, Non-Practising Land Surveyor, Land Surveyor-in-Training, Land Survey Technician. The registration process consists of the following stages:

  • Completion of an academic qualification that complies with the requirements for registration in the particular branch and category.
  • Registration as a candidate.
  • Completion of the prescribed practical training (work integrated learning).
  • Write and pass the prescribed exams and assessments.
  • Registration in the respective category

All applications to be directed to the Registrar of Council of Land Surveyors.

Land Surveyors

  • Application letter.
  • Certified copy of Certificate of Recognition issued by The Surveyor General.
  • Declaration form.
  • Certified copy of national identity card.
  • Registration fee.

Non-Practicing Land Surveyors

  • Application letter.
  • Registration fee.

Land Surveyor-in-Training

  • Application letter by the applicant.
  • Support letter from mentor i.e registered Land Surveyor.
  • Certified copy of Degree in Surveying and Geomatics.
  • Certified copy of academic transcript.
  • Certified copy of national identity card.
  • Registration fee.

Land Survey Technician

  • Application letter by the applicant.
  • Support letter from mentor i.e registered Land Surveyor.
  • Certified copy of National Diploma in Surveying and Geomatics.
  • Certified copy of academic transcript.
  • Certified copy of national identity card.
  • Registration fee.
